Lynn Farrell moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1975 from a small town of 150 people approximately 60 miles west of the Lake. Lynn was hired as City Clerk of Osage Beach and retained that position for 7 years until she and John’s last son, Justin, was born in 1982. At that time, she took a little time off to be a full-time mom. In August 1988, Lynn received her Real Estate Salesperson License and followed up in October 1988, with her Broker’s License.
Lynn has always been very competitive and self-motivated. When participating in sports, she always wanted to be the fastest runner, steal the most bases in softball and be the best catcher or shortstop on the field. At the same time, she was always a “Team Player” and cheered for her teammates in their efforts.
As a mom, Lynn promotes the same honesty, competitive nature, and self-motivation skills in her children. Both she and John are proud to be able to say that all 3 of their children, Alicia, Jonas, and Justin, are following in their footsteps as Realtors.
Lynn brings this same motivation and enthusiasm to the real estate business. She became a member of the Million Dollar Club in 1992 and a lifetime member in 1994! In 1997, Lynn decided to get more involved in the Local, State, and National Board of REALTORS®. She was elected in 1997 for 2 years as State Director. From there she served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President in 2002. She received the REALTOR® of the Year Award in 2001 and 2010 as well as receiving from her local association the President’s Award, which recognizes someone who goes above and beyond in helping with the local association and agents. She received the Spirit Award from the Bagnell Dam Association of REALTORS® in 2004 for her positive attitude and for always going the extra mile. In 2010 Lynn received the R Layne Morrill Award and the Realtor of the year from the Missouri Realtor Association in 2019. She continues to serve on a number of committees, both local and state level and has been Committee Chairperson of several.
Lynn has been very involved in the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, both at the Lake of the Ozarks Network and The state of Missouri. She held every office position in the Lake of the Ozarks Network, President in 2005, and President of the State Network in 2018. She received Member of the Year in 2010 Statewide. Lynn is a strong promoter of Women serving as leaders in the Real Estate market.
Lynn is involved in the real estate industry at all levels, local, state, and national, and was appointed as Federal Political Coordinator for US Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer when he was elected to office. She is responsible for staying in touch with the Congressman and keeping him informed of all issues regarding real estate at the State and National levels. This is a big responsibility and one that Lynn does not take lightly. She feels this is another way of helping protect Buyers and Sellers in the right to own Real Estate in the United States.
She is a 2003 Graduate of the Camden County Leadership Academy. Lynn and John co-chaired the State Fair Community College Lake of the Ozarks Division College Capital Campaign in 2006-2007. Lynn was appointed to the State Fair Community College Endowment Board in 2007 and continues to serve today. Along with all the above Lynn holds the following Realtor designations. GRI, RRC, ABR, e-Pro. To receive these designations, the REALTOR has to take many hours of education.
Lynn is a firm believer in giving back from what she receives and being a Realtor is one way of doing so! She truly believes God put her on this earth to take care of others. Selling real estate is one very important way of doing this. Buying and selling real estate can be a very emotional process. You have to be a good listener, a motivator, and a follow-thru individual. Lynn is all of these and strives to keep a “Can Do!” attitude at all times. She says she is available 24/7, except of course on those wonderful days she can play grandmother! Lynn is the REALTOR® who does what she loves and loves what she does!
